Our ART-175 SafeTCap kit is designed to repair the area on the 97-02 TJ transmission skid plate that is bolted to the frame. We’ve installed hundreds of our center frame repair kits and most all of the skid plates were rusted and deteriorated where they are bolted to the frame, making it impossible to remount. So, instead of buying a new or aftermarket skid plate which costs hundreds of dollars, we’ve created a cost effective solution to this problem.
Our Skid plate repair kit is CNC cut from high quality, 11 gage steel, and is designed to be welded to the underside of the skid plate after the rust, or corrosion is removed. This kit includes both left and right sides and 6 new washers…..
