An In-Depth 2020 Jeep Gladiator Mopar Review

The new 2020 Jeep Gladiator model is definitely not a subtle car that can easily blend in with the rest, this vehicle is sure to get a lot of attention. The new Jeep truck is built to stand out far above other vehicles thanks to its size, form and shape. Having said that, the one fact that truly makes this model an attention grabber is that it is a Jeep truck. You have probably noticed that over the years, Jeep trucks have become quite a rarity. For decades Jeep trucks have been absent in the automobile market. To kick off the new decade Jeep finally made a pickup comeback appearance. With the excellent help of Mopar, the designers out a lot of thought into making sure that the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Mopar has a host of unique treatments. We got to test drive the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Mopar and the open-air truck proved to be impressive.

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator Mopar comes fully equipped with about 12 Mopar parts, ranging from styling parts to lift kits. It had a 2-inch lift over the Rubicon model, this gave it an advantage of more ground clearance. This ground clearance comes in super handy in those moments when you are off-roading, it is perfect for this midsize truck with its wheelbase of 137.3 inches. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator Mopar comes with 35-inch BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, giving the truck an extra portion of traction when you drive in sand or mud. We drove it through some pretty muddy areas which gave the Gladiator a greater opportunity to show off. In some parts where the mud was extra deep and thick, we had to back up and gain some momentum and the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Mopar was able to get through the mud.

We test drove a model that had sill plates, tube doors, a mesh sun cover and rock rails. Mopar Canada is currently in the process of developing side mirrors for the Gladiator, that are not on offer on the current models. This is strange because they do offer side mirrors on the Wrangler. Be mindful of this if you live in an area where side mirrors are required, you will not be able to drive the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Moplar with the tube doors on open roads.

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator Mopar models are powered by a 3.6-litres V-6 engine, the engine produces 285 hp. It also has 260 lb-ft of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Later customizations of the model feature a more “Moparized” version of the truck. Some shops have started to swap the engine for the 1,000-hp V-8 Hellephant, announced at the SEMA Show.

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator Mopar is a decent drive especially considering that the ground clearance can help you navigate through some tough trails. It is a fun truck to take on a trail adventure. It is worth noting that it can be very hard to see out of this Gladiator. When you have the windshield down, the glass’s thickness and its frame can block your view a little more. If you’re driving through a trial this is not ideal because you already have to deal with visibility issues.

When all is said and done, the new 2020 Gladiator Mopar is a fun open-air experience. It would be a great choice for when you are driving through trails or the desert. Jeep made sure that this truck is capable of taking you anywhere. The available Mopar parts make it an even more unforgettable drive.
