New Jeep President Sees a More Global Presence
On May 7th, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) announced that Christian Meunier would step in as the new President of Jeep’s Global operations. Having come from a number of similarly high profile positions including being the Vice President of Infiniti as well as Nissan’s Global Sales Marketing and Operations Divisions, as well as a number of similar positions in Ford, Land Rover and Mercedes Benz, Meunier says it is a privilege to be brought into the Jeep brand, considering them a leader in the industry.
Meunier comes to the position with an eye for the global market and seeks to increase Jeep’s marketshare abroad with models specifically tailored for non-American markets like the China exclusive Jeep Grand Commander/Commander (K8) models. Meunier has also been appointed to FCA’s Group Executive Council (GEC).
