Not to mention, the horsepower under the hood of the Trackhawk is equal to that of what Ford’s most endearing street legal Mustang maintains.
Where does all this power come from you may ask? A 6.2 litre Hemi V8, boasting an automatic 8 speed transmission. According to Jeep, this vehicle could in fact be deemed the world’s quickest street legal SUV ever.
It’s important to note that the reliability and versatility of the average SUV has not been lost to performance. Jeep’s newest model is able to driven in multiple modes. Sport, when in the mood for a quicker work commute. Snow, because all of us know that North American winters are rough. Track, when attempting to pull off record times and showing up super cars with ease and efficiency. Lastly, auto and tow mode, for those who wish to tow trailers, boats, and even camping trailers.
Thankfully, Jeep didn’t forget to include the comfort factor that virtually every modern SUV is known for. Passengers will experience heated seats among all rows, lane assist, adaptive cruise control, and even active braking. The newest addition to the Grand Cherokee repertoire was unveiled at this year’s North American International Auto Show.
