Unveiled at the Montreal Auto show earlier this year in Canada, was a vehicle that’s almost certain to top the list of phenomenal vehicles. Jeep has always been recognized for their unique, and incredibly reliable vehicles, but they’ve now outdone themselves. The new Jeep Gladiator. The first pickup truck built by Jeep since the Comanche basically vanished from the market almost 30 years ago.
Now, staying true to the Jeep name, the Gladiator comes with a variety of features that will make the every day off roader’s mouth water. Featuring a top of the line four wheel drive system, as well as removable panels and wind screens, Jeep refuses to disappoint their customers. To throw a cherry on top of this fantastic vehicle, you can even remove the doors of the Gladiator, which is a feature virtually unique to Jeep.
It’s important to note that unlike other pickup trucks on the market, the Jeep Gladiator is only sold with a four wheel drive system, rather then rear wheel or AWD setups.
Powering the Gladiator, is a 3.6 liter V-6, boasting 285 horsepower, and nearly 260 foot pounds of torque. For all you diesel fans out there, the Gladiator offers a 3.0 liter turbo-diesel, which in turn boasts 260 horsepower and a whopping 442 foot pounds of torque.
Another important note, is that the Diesel engine can only be situated with an automatic transmission. The manual transmission is exclusive to the 3.6 liter V6.
The Jeep Gladiator is scheduled to hit the open road in mid to late 2019.
