The Crown Automotive Power Steering Box is a newly manufactured replacement for the tired, worn out unit from the factory. Steering boxes can wear out from long term daily driving conditions just as they can from over size tires and heavy off roading, the only difference is the time. With a new power steering box you can reduce the squealing that seems to come from the front end when you are turning and you restore the smooth turning ratio set by the factory. If have oversize tires and seem to be replacing steering boxes frequently, there are aftermarket upgrades that can handle the greater stresses that are applied.
